Welcome to our new website where you can browse all the herbs we have available.
Situated on the Black Isle, a low peninsula on the east coast of the Scottish Highlands, we grow over 400 varieties of plants which are medicinal, culinary or aromatic. These plants originate from countries around the world but also ones native to the UK which can be used medicinally or in the kitchen.
The Herb Garden and Nursery is open through the growing season from March until September or you can view and purchase plants online.

The Passionate Grower’s Guide to Herb Gardening
Get closer to nature and learn more about its therapeutic plants and how they can help us.
There are wild herbs growing all around us but not many of us know what they are, in which way they are used and how to care for them in our gardens.
This book provides details on how to identify and cultivate using organic and biodynamic methods. The wide range of habitats that they enjoy in the wild can be replicated in our gardens.
Horticultural terms, plant name, herbal classifications, the seasons, the elements and their effects and reflection on the seasonal life of a gardener are explained.
“The Passionate Grower’s Guide to Herb planting book is absolutely brilliant. I have bought hundreds of books on herbs over many years, since being a Medical Herbalist, but this is far the best book on growing herbs and such useful information including medicinal uses. It’s so helpful to see where the herbs originate from. I wish I had had it many years ago, when I first started buying seeds and herbs from you, as many more would have survived!”
