A protected alpine herb with yellow-gold flowers from the mid european mountains. Poisonous internally, but it provides a fine external treatment as a cream, gel, oil or ointment for bruises and sprains, and in homeopathy for shock and injury. This is our own variety which is free flowering and vigorous. It enjoys growing in a rock garden with a slightly acidic soil.
