A tender evergreen climber with glossy pointed leaves that will creep or clamber depending on the habitat. It requires a lot of warmth and some humidity so grow in a shaded area of a heated greenhouse or conservatory, being a native of southern Asia. The leaves have a slightly spicy flavour with medicinal properties.
